Hong Kong used to be a British colony until 1997, now known as the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. Hong Kong is definitely one of the world's most significant financial center, and one of the most visited cities in Asia. Renowned for its amazing night lights and beautiful harbor view, Hong Kong is nicknamed as "Pearl of the Orient."

InterContinental Hong Kong is located in the heart of Kowloon City, one of Hong Kong's most popular urban areas. InterContinental Hong Kong is also the Asia-Pacific flagship for the InterContinental Hotel Group. Besides being known for its unobstructed view of the Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island,  the hotel is also famous for its luxurious accommodation and restaurants.

The hotel lobby is designed with top to bottom glass windows, allowing ample daylights to come through, creating a pleasing and comfortable ambience. One of the highlights at the hotel is the white marble staircase that leads to the second floor ballroom, these elegant steps have become an iconic photo spot for many weddings and events.

Accommodations + Spa
The hotel features 503 contemporary guest rooms, 87 harbour view suites, 2 specialty suites (The CEO Suite and Terrance Suite), and the Presidential Suite. Both speciality suites have an outdoor terrance and jacuzzi, and the Presidential Suite is also the largest hotel room in Hong Kong, featured with a 7,000 square feet two-stories living space, and 2,500 square feet terrance with an infinity swimming pool overlooking the Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island.

Upon arrival, I knew I was staying at the harbour view guest room and have already expected an incredible view of the Victoria Harbour, however, as I was entering my bedroom, the unobstructed view still took me by surprised - I felt like I was living on the water. Having been to Hong Kong many times, I knew that it is nearly impossible to have what is so called the "unobstructed view" because of how dense this city is, but here at InterContinental Hong Kong, the view from the room and the lobby is just incredible. As the day goes by, this view just keeps getting better. Hong Kong is known for its colorful night lights after sunset, and I definitely still miss the moments where I can lay on my lounge chair and enjoy the beautiful moment where the city comes to live from the leisure of my room.

The luxurious I-Spa at InterContinental Hong Kong is designed to provide guests with the ultimate spa experiences, all the treatment rooms are designed as private suites where each room has its own Jacuzzi, sauna, steam shower, and massage facilities.

Dining options at InterContinental Hong Kong is also one of the major highlight at this property, there are a total of 6 different restaurants to choose from.

  • NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong is part of the world's renowned NOBU restaurant group, serves innovative new-style Japanese cuisine and opens daily for lunch and dinner.

  • Rech by Alain Ducasse, the first international outpost of Paris's most famous seafood restaurant. Celebrity Chef Rech curates an unique French seafood experience here at InterContinental Hong Kong with fresh ingredients and his interpretation and contemporary French style cuisine.

  • Yan Toh Heen, honored with both 2 Michelin Stars and Five Stars Forbes Travel Guide, is known for its Cantonese cuisine. It is also a popular restaurant among the local residences in Hong Kong. I would highly recommend this restaurant to those who appreciates fine dining and enjoys authentic Cantonese cuisine.

  • THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill is definitely a fantastic choice for meat lovers, serves USDA Beef and Japanese A5 Hida Wagyu on Hong Kong's only charcoal grill. Besides an elaborate salad bar, there are also over 12 special blended mustards, 8 types of exotic rock salts, and over 550 wines to choose.

The Club InterContinental Lounge is a private exclusive lounge that provides an intimate and luxurious space for guests to enjoy its facilities and services. Club InterContinental also provides daily buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails, complimentary internet access and personalized concierge services.

InterContinental Hong Kong really puts a lot of effort in their Club Lounge service, they curate a good selection of breakfast and afternoon tea options. I especially enjoyed their Club Lounge breakfast as they have many different types of fresh squeeze juices, good selection of fresh fruits and pastries, and more importantly, they serve different types of hot food daily.
